With over 40 years of experience we understand the demands on a Project Team to deliver a catering facility. Operating within a tight programme and budget, but still needing to achieve quality, we continue to deliver a high end product and leave customers smiling.

We manufacture and distribute Berkeley Hotplates to a worldwide customer base providing the undisputed quality for the last 43 years. We have a standard range of competitively priced units suitable for freestanding, portable or built in applications.

Customer Care

On completion of any sale or project fit out we will continue to provide support. Our Customer Care Team will provide warranty support and user training, ensuring that the item or facility is used and maintained to its intended specification.

Design

Our design team specialises in providing the drawings and data necessary to allow a successful and co-ordinated delivery of a catering facility. The team dovetails the end user’s needs into a functional design by listening to the core principles set down and translating into a design that is ‘build-able’, useable and can be maintained. Safe design is paramount and consideration of the environment key to project success.

Small Projects

No project is too small. Whilst we can manage the installation of a complete restaurant, we can also assist in making small changes to a facility – anything from putting up some shelves to changing a tap.

Meet the Team

Richard White

Managing Director

Richard joined Berkeley Projects in 1988 as an estimator and quickly moved into contract management handling projects in excess of £1 million.
As a Project Manager Richard’s ability to deal with people and co-ordinate various aspects of a contract ensured him Directorship in 1993 and subsequent appointment as Managing Director in 1996.
Richard is involved in all areas of the business ensuring every aspect is adequately resourced and maintaining client satisfaction.

 

Phillip Denne

Contracts Director

Phillip joined Berkeley Projects in 2001 with the experience of working for many years as a project manager undertaking full turn-key style refurbishments, all orientated around the catering sector, finally moving on to working with a leading kitchen ventilation company. With this knowledge and the experience gained over the years by managing numerous prestigious projects, Phillip was appointed as Contracts Director at the beginning of 2015. His attention to detail is second to none and he achieves a very high standard in all he does. Phillip is now a fundamental part of the business, managing new projects and client facing from the outset.

Mark Jeffrey

Director

Mark joined Berkeley Projects in 1992 bringing with him a thorough knowledge, technical expertise, design, and project management skills from within the Catering Industry. Mark rapidly became a Senior Project Manager, a role where his management and organisational skills were used to great effect with the current team.
Since becoming a Director in 2003, Mark has used his knowledge and specific technical skills to effectively oversee and direct all projects to a successful conclusion, for both the client and project team. Mark has remained a constant strength within Berkeley Projects with a proficient approach to all elements of the business.
Mark’s ability to liaise with both client and contractor, along with his own staff and other trades, ensures the smooth running and a positive outcome to all his projects.

Gillian Edgar

Financial Controller

Gillian joined Berkeley Projects in 2014 as the new Financial Controller, a crucial part of any business. Gillian has since streamlined the accounts system and restructured the accounts team to create an efficient and proactive department. With Gillian’s vibrant personality and excellent responsive skill set, further subtle changes have vastly improved the day to day operations. Gillian conducts a firm but fair approach with all tasks, to deliver constant analysis and reporting structure across all areas of the business. With the experience gained by Gillian and her team, Berkeley Projects is well equipped to deal with the commercial demands of each project, working directly with clients’ commercial managers and our project team.

Situated within the ground floor of the Hilton Hotel Moore London, the Jamie’s Italian restaurant boasts a prime location close to the heart of London’s shopping & financial district.

Working with the Jamie’s team the challenge was not only to fulfil the Jamie’s Italian menu for rustic Italian food, but also cater for the hotel’s high standards and catering requirements. Whilst the hotel continued its renowned 24hour operation the refurbishment took place seamlessly without disruption or impacting on guests.

Pushing the boundaries of the regular Jamie’s Italian concept the team delivered an outstanding facility in which Berkeley Projects assisted the design, supply, delivery and install of the commercial kitchen area together with the front of house cook line, anti-pasti counter and main bar.
